I wasn’t sure if I should go or not. So much had happened in life and it seemed that those years in school just really didn’t matter at all anymore. My very best friend from high school had been killed in a car accident several years prior and my two other girlfriends were not sure if they would attend either. But, the head of the committee continued to call and try to persuade me. It was really quite sweet that she wanted me to go so badly. When it was all said and done I decided not to go. I had my family and that was what I really had to think about. Funny thing was that some shallow chick from high school contacted me later and said “you should have been there; you would have won the award for the most kids”. Yeah, because THAT is what it’s all about right! Some things from high school just never do change do they!
