Facebook Rocks it

I was uploading new photos for my facebook account just recently when a friend of mine from my previous job sent me a message through my facebook chat. We chatted for a while then I had to leave because of something, when I thought to myself how useful facebook has already become for me. I use it to reach out to my relatives and friends abroad much like how I use Skype, and YM(Yahoo messenger) to call people. I use it to post updates for my friends about certain things about me and how I need a new job. I use it to distract myself by playing funny games with their silly gameplay and characters(which to me is kind of amusing). I use it to advertise stuff that I want to sell. I even use it to earn me a few bucks and to gamble!(Not really, I only gamble using fake poker chips) I use it a lot that I realize I even downloaded softwares for my phone(Snaptu, Ebuddy messenger and the like) just so I can fully optmize my facebook account even when I’m not with my notebook. I use it so much I’m even wrote articles about it on my blog! But is it really that necessary for me to be using this facebook?A lot?I haven’t even have that time to think about it as I am still to finish uploading youtube links on my facebook wall. Turning My Cancer Into A Positive

As a cancer patient I became quite involved in raising awareness for the disease I had, especially for young people like myself at the time. I did so much work that I was blessed to receive an award for my efforts. Funny part is, if you could be a fly on the wall when they called to tell me you would have thought they should revoke any kind of award! I remember the woman from the committee calling to tell me and as she spoke I was in the laundry room of my home. Her words ring in my ears as I think of the story today! “You are such an outstanding mother” she said. Precious words indeed for as she said them I wasn’t just “in” the laundry room! NO! I was trying to hide from my children whom which HAD indeed found me! Yes, I was pressing against the laundry room door with all of my weight in order to keep the child yelling “Momeeeeeeeee” on the other side!! Yes, give that woman an award will you!!

I did not Go to my HS reunion

As the summer of 2001 approached so did my ten year high school reunion. I wasn’t sure if I should go or not. So much had happened in life and it seemed that those years in school just really didn’t matter at all anymore. My very best friend from high school had been killed in a car accident several years prior and my two other girlfriends were not sure if they would attend either. But, the head of the committee continued to call and try to persuade me. It was really quite sweet that she wanted me to go so badly. When it was all said and done I decided not to go. I had my family and that was what I really had to think about. Funny thing was that some shallow chick from high school contacted me later and said “you should have been there; you would have won the award for the most kids”. Yeah, because THAT is what it’s all about right! Some things from high school just never do change do they!

Bringing Home The Babies

My daughter was four when I brought home my newborn twins from the hospital. Now, you have to know that she was a great helper! Before the arrival of my little twins Kaleigh had already become a wonderful big sister to little Jakob, who was just a year when the twins came home. But, Kaleigh loved to help out with all the little babies. She loved to get their wipes or help feed them a bottle. However, she did give me a scare one afternoon. I had put all the kids down for a nap and some quite time. I had taken a quick second to use the restroom and I could still hear one of the twins fussing a bit. In my mind I knew that they would be asleep in no time so I didn’t dash right out. I came around the corner though to see Kaleigh carrying a brand new teeny tiny baby over the fresh tile floor! I thought for sure by her weak hold and that wiggly baby that someone was going down! I remember telling her to stand still! And in her sweet voice she told me that he was crying and she just wanted to make him feel better! So sweet, but seriously, be still my heart!
